Bibb House Museum (Russellville, Kentucky)

The Palladian style mansion was built in 1817 by Revolutionary War veteran Major Richard Bibb. The home is an excellent example of the fine, early architecture of Kentucky and demonstrates the lifestyle and customs of the landed gentry who migrated to Kentucky. Historic Russellville, Inc. maintains the Bibb House as a House Museum. The museum tells the story of Richard Bibb, an early abolitionist.
