Barlow House Museum (Barlow, Kentucky)

Thomas Jefferson Barlow was the first of his family to settle in the "wilderness" of Ballard County in 1849. The house was left as a gift to the residence of Ballard County by Vivian J Barlow, the eldest of the seven Barlow children. Barlow was an avid traveler as well as a writer, musician, teacher and historian. On display in the house are personal items, and period furniture restored to its original grandeur.
