The Auburn Museum illustrates the history of Auburn, Kentucky, and surrounding communities. The structure displays over seven hundred artifacts, and serves also as a community library. On the museum property stands the Greenwood one room school, built about 1880, set up with desk, books and school artifacts, a 2-cell jailhouse built in 1865, and a century-old barn filled with antique farm equipment and old tools. The Auburn Museum is open to the public Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Outside of these hours, or for special tours.
